Ping An's profits rise 28.3%

China's largest insurer Ping An has reported a 28.3% rise in its first-half profit.

The company earned 17.9bn yuan ($2.92bn) in the first six-months of the year, up from 13.96bn yuan from the same period a year earlier.

Ping An's life insurance premiums rose 10.4% to 126.8bn yuan
