Ombudsman: PPI claims reach 2000 a day
Payment protection insurance claims multiplied almost two and a half times in the second half of 2012 according to figures from the Financial Ombudsman Service.
The Ombudsman said that 74% of its complaints related to PPI, with 211 885 lodged for the six month period.
By comparison, the first half saw only 85 562.
The greatest volume related to Lloyds TSB
