Penny was ‘tickled Ink’ when she was treated to a night out at the world-renowned Comedy Store in Leicester Square by underwriting managing director Mike Smith and a handful of his UK team.

The night started in low-key fashion with a couple of pints - Penny stuck to the gin and tonics - and a handful of French fries in a nearby pub. However, it wasn't long before sides were being split courtesy of two hours of surprisingly hilarious improv. Highlights included impromptu West Endstyle songs based on a murder mystery on Mars and a mock interview with a pig baseball team, which had the underwriting lads rolling in the aisles.

Last week witnessed the annual Incisive Media awards bash - traditionally a raucous occasion, this year's event certainly lived up to the hype. Although the Post team were nominated for a number of gongs, the best Penny and the team could muster was a ‘highly commended' in the Magazine of the Year category.

However, despite missing out on all of the top awards, Penny and her pals washed away their disappointment with a wave of free wine, the rest of the evening is little more than a hazy memory...
