CNA Europe appoints European underwriting director
CNA Insurance Company has appointed Mark Beattie to the newly-created role of European underwriting director for its property and casualty business.
Reporting to Paul Dowling, chief underwriting officer for CNA’s commercial lines business, he takes up his new role immediately.
Mr Beattie joins CNA Europe with over 23 years of experience in the insurance industry, including 15 in the London Market.
Before joining CNA Europe, he was portfolio manager – international property at QBE Insurance Europe.
John Hennessy, chief executive officer of CNA Europe, said: “Our property and casualty business is an important part of our European portfolio. Mark’s underwriting experience in the UK and internationally, as well as his managerial skills, made him the obvious choice for this role.
"Our entire senior team is looking forward to working with Mark as we grow our property and casualty offering throughout Europe.”
