NEDs receive 2009 pay boost

Non-executive directors at FTSE 100 companies received an average pay increase of more than 5% last year, new research has revealed.

According to a study by Incomes Data Services, the average wage for NEDs at FTSE 100 firms, such as Admiral, RSA and Aviva, is now £58,595 - a 5.1% increase on the figures for 2008.
