FSA again calls on insurers over "increasing" secondary intermediary concerns

The Financial Services Authority today reported that it is “increasingly concerned” by the numbers of secondary intermediaries applying for authorisation. It has now called on insurers to “re-double” their efforts to improve numbers, claiming they are best positioned to prompt regulation stragglers.

As of 11 November, it had received 13905 registrations from the general insurance sector to obtain an application pack and 9559 applications for authorisation.
