Zurich buys AIG’s global travel insurance business
Zurich has completed a deal to take AIG’s global personal travel insurance and assistance business for $600m (£473m), plus a potential earn-out payment.
The deal, which will bring AIG’s Travel Guard business to the Swiss insurer, will mean Zurich will serve more than “20 million customers and 200 distribution partners around the world”.
