Digital transformation solutions to ride the wave of the Insurance sector’s future

Digital insurance protection

Fincons Group, an international IT business consultant and system integrator, provides the recipe for successful collaboration with insurers to help them in their digital transformation.

The Insurance sector is constantly evolving, with players increasingly moving towards digitalisation to make existing processes more efficient and to create new ones that respond to market and customer demand.

In this dynamic environment, Fincons Group, an international IT consultancy and system integration company, is helping insurers modernise their systems and grasp new opportunities coming from digital technologies.

“In recent years, our insurance clients have pushed decisively towards the digital transformation of their assets to stay competitive and overcome market challenges. In Fincons they have found a reliable partner that can lead them to the successful realisation of their projects,” Giuliano Altamura, global FSI BU General Manager and UK Country Manager at Fincons Group, explains.

Fincons Group is a family company that has been leading major players on international markets in defining the right strategy and successfully realising their IT projects for over 40 years, offering forward-looking cutting-edge solutions.

Fincons has in fact built its reputation on foreseeing and interpreting new business models and innovative IT systems and on supporting its clients in the long term, thanks to reliable and solid relationships.

Its offering includes a complete range of services: from IT consulting, to system integration of leading vendor software products and technologies, from the offering of proprietary solutions to IT services in Smart-Shore, delivered from Italy and from India.

Banks and Insurance companies are the focus of the business unit led by Giuliano Altamura, which contributes more than 35% to Fincons’ business volume. In the Insurance sector specifically, the company has a proven track record in all the insurance domains spanning property and casualty, claims, life and health, digital channels, data and analytics, CRM, corporate portals, commercial portals, finance and compliance and more, thanks to 600+ dedicated resources.

The UK is a strategic market for Fincons, which opened its first offices in London back in 2015. Since then, the company has grown and now counts on a team of local professionals housed in its Liverpool Street offices and 80+ resources engaged on UK projects able to effectively support UK clients, leveraging skills and references acquired in continental Europe.

In this environment, Fincons positions itself as a skilled and reliable partner, supporting its clients with technological solutions that generate value, simplify operations, and free up financial resources, leveraging five main innovation drivers:

  • Digital channels: developing applications with an optimised user experience that support and simplify end user operations.
  • Sales force efficiency improvement: developing commercial portals and CRM that improve the efficiency of pre-sales, sales, and post-sales functions.
  • Operations efficiency enhancement: optimising, structuring and automating processes and tasks.
  • IT modernisation: revamping of legacy systems, cloudification and application integration.
  • Data excellence: through data governance and data platforms also leveraging modern solutions for fast data lines and data governance.

“These areas have developed even further in recent years, also due to the introduction of AI, which empowers the functionalities of the proposed solutions,” adds Altamura.

Another flagship of the Fincons offering is the Smart-Shore delivery model, through which the Group offers IT services to client companies all over the world with an agile and flexible working methodology that combines remote and on-site teams that continuously collaborate.

This model, which has developed exponentially since 2008, today can count on a thousand qualified professionals with skills on vertical processes and on the most used technologies and frameworks.

These professionals are housed in the Fincons Future Gateway in Bari (Italy) and in the other delivery hubs of the Group.

“In January 2024, with the strategic acquisition of US company PDG Consulting and the opening of Fincons India in Mumbai, we’ve added a team of 50 professionals with high-level technological and domain skills to our Smart-Shore offering.

“This office ensures flexibility, scalability of the service and integration support for different time zones,” reports Francesco Moretti, group deputy CEO and CEO international at Fincons Group. “In this way, we can lead and continue to grow internationally for the next 40 years.”

A long-term commitment, that of internationalisation, is fundamental to bringing the value of Italian tech to the world.

“This path,” explains Michele Moretti, CEO Fincons Group, “has not only positioned us as leaders in offering cutting-edge services and solutions at an international level, but has also allowed the company to discover and explore new technologies thanks to our commitment to research and development.”

“Continuous innovation is in our DNA. It enables us to anticipate market trends and provide customers with the best solutions to meet their business objectives.”
