Claimant lawyers resigned to future discount rate rise
Claimant personal injury solicitors expect the discount rate to move back up as a result of the government’s consultation.
The majority believe the rate will rise to between 1% and 1.5% according to research commissioned by barrister Bill Braithwaite Queens Counsel. Just one in 10 expect the rate to stay at minus 0.75%
