Osborne pledges £140m for flood defences
Chancellor George Osborne has promised £140m of funding towards flood defences following the storms and floods which wracked the UK over winter.
In the 2014 budget announcement, Osborne, pictured, said that the sum would be in addition to funding already provided for repairs and maintenance to flood defences across the country.
