Solicitors urged to consider insurer ratings
Solicitors have been urged to check insurers' financial strength before acquiring professional indemnity cover following the demise of two unrated providers in recent years.
The Law Society issued the advice, aimed at smaller firms, after commissioning a study of 600 law firms about the 2012/2013 renewal period that found a lack of knowledge among firms about the cover
