ABI attacks 'futile' attempts to prevent portal extension

The Association of British Insurers has slammed plans by claimant lawyers to launch legal action to prevent the extension of the Road Traffic Accident Portal next April, accusing them of futile attempts to stall its implementation.
James Dalton, ABI head of motor and liability, said: "There are some clamant lawyers who think this is not the way to go, but I cannot understand why they can't read the writing on the wall: 1 April
