Blue sea

Mapfre Assistance is to provide underwriting and emergency assistance services to Ancile Insurance Group in a new multi-million pound deal.

The agreement follows a competitive tender run by Healix Insurance Services. The agreement, which lasts for a minimum period of three years, covers the underwriting and emergency assistance for three of Ancile Group's consumer travel insurance brands: Insure With Ease, Top Notch and OUL Direct.

Mapfre Assistance has provided underwriting for Good to Go Insurance, another of Ancile Group's consumer brands, since August 2010.

Leire Jimenez, head of travel at Mapfre Assistance, said: "Ancile Group's brands are going through a growth phase so our job will be to help support that with products and services that attract customers and ensure they get great service from their travel insurer when they need it most."

Graham Linney, managing director of Ancile Group, said: "Mapfre Assistance has shown great flexibility in coming up with a proposition that perfectly fitted our requirements for the three brands, and we look forward to developing our relationship with them in future."
