Vulnerable customers code gains industry backing despite commercial concerns
The joint code of conduct for vulnerable customers established by the Association of British Insurers and the British Insurance Brokers' Association has been broadly welcomed by the industry, despite concerns about the commercial viability of serving such a group.
The code, unveiled on 3 November, will be used as a reference for managing insurance renewals of potentially vulnerable motor and household insurance customers.
It will be a voluntary code for members
