The Polish insurance market and its prospects

Price wars in the motor sector have contributed to poor results for Polish insurers, but the market could be shaken up by upcoming distribution rules and potentially growing demand for property, liability and cyber policies.

Poland has the 13th largest insurance market in the European Union, but the largest in Central and Eastern Europe. In 2015, approximately Zl54.8bn (£11.0bn) of premiums were written in the country
