Widespread telematics adoption questioned despite growing young driver uptake

More than one in five (22%) of young male drivers have telematics insurance policies, yet mainstream adoption of the technology remains a long way off, according to research conducted by Consumer Intelligence.

Its study, which polled 1995 motor insurance customers in March 2015, shows use of ‘black box' insurance is higher among drivers aged 18 to 24 with 14% of women in that age group having policies.
