China IPO approvals still awaiting timetable

The China Securities Regulatory Commission has yet to set a timetable for resuming IPO approvals, scotching rumours that it would start pushing through new candidates in April, an official from the securities watchdog told Xinhua news agency.

Approvals for listings on domestic bourses slowed down from the middle of 2012 and none have been granted in the last four months. Nearly 900 companies were on the CSRC's official waiting list as of
