Insurers' investment income 'dropping quickly'

Low interest rates are hitting insurers hard as bonds mature, and regulators are not keeping up with the new investment environment, said Michael Morrissey, president and CEO of the International Insurance Society.

Speaking at Insurance China 2013 on 16 July in Shanghai, Morrissey spoke about a dramatic decline in investment income from traditional sources for insurers which will get much worse if interest rates
