Michael Jackson concert promoter cleared in negligence case

A Los Angeles jury has decided concert promoter AEG Live did not act negligently in hiring the doctor responsible for caring for Michael Jackson ahead of his concert tour in 2009.

The jury found that AEG Live did hire the doctor, Conrad Murray, but that Murray was not unfit or incompetent for the job, according to reports from the BBC.
