S&P downgrades Italian insurer Generali
European insurer Generali has been downgraded from A to A- by Standard and Poor's.
The downgrade follows on from the rating agency’s decision to downgrade Italy from BBB+ to BBB on 9 July. At the time of that downgrade, S&P deemed the outlook for Italy to be negative.
