Penny Black's insurance week

Penny is ashamed to report that, during an LV-hosted pub quiz last week, she was coerced into displaying all the attributes of a sore loser.

Although Penny and her colleagues pride themselves on an exhaustive knowledge of past and present world affairs, team Post was not counting on being lumped in a team with LV’s lackwit luminaries Mike Crane and Michael Lawrence.

Having been declared as occupying last place at the halfway point of the quiz – much to the amusement of Crane and Lawrence’s colleagues – Penny and the team (bar one dedicated quizzer) joined the LV boys in making a hasty getaway, to the visible disgust of the glamorous quizmaster.

In other news, Penny was thrilled to discover this week that Towergate’s underwriting chief exec Clive Nathan is not only an active sportsman, but will soon be representing Great Britain. Nathan will be featuring in the Masters Football at the Maccabiah Games, a quadrennial Israeli and Jewish athletics event.

Nathan describes himself as a “James Milner type”, so Penny wishes him all the best, and hopes Nathan’s team – who like Milner’s Man City are defending champions – fare rather better than the Citizens have this season...
