Amlin reports leap in H1 profit to £184.5m
Amlin has reported profit before tax of £184.5m in the first half of this year compared to a loss of £192.3m in the first half of 2011.
Gross written premium rose 19.8% to £1.81bn (H1 2011: £1.51bn, producing a combined ratio of 84% (H1 2011: 122%), and an underwriting profit of £153.8m (H1 2011: loss of £203.8m), against limited
