XL Group has appointed Daniel O’Connell to underwrite war, terrorism and political violence within the firm’s new crisis management team.
O'Connell, who reached the rank of captain in the British Army and has served in Germany, Iraq and Northern Ireland, joins the firm from Hiscox where he covered an identical area of underwriting
