Amlin returns to profit after £141m Sandy claims
Amlin has posted a pre-tax profit of £262.2m for the year ending 31 December, swinging into profit after a £193m loss in 2011.
The result came in spite of £141.6m in claims related to superstorm Sandy, and a total £152.3m in catastrophe claims, though the figure represented a sharp drop from 2011's £500.8m in catastrophe
