Eqecat puts €100m price on Italy quake
Catastrophe risk modelling firm Equecat has estimated insured losses of around €100m for the northern Italy earthquake on 20 May, but warned of uncertainty.
Eqecat said: "Insured losses are unlikely to exceed the €200m experienced in the M6.3 L'Aquila earthquake in 2009, owing to a lower magnitude and a smaller affected population.
