Confused index shows 12.7% rise in 2009

Confused and EMB have launched a new quarterly car insurance price index.

The index is based on an analysis of over 12m quotes for comprehensive cover and almost a billion prices from the confused site since the end of 2006.

The figures show that while prices stayed
