Carlyle Group confirms $6.7bn Sedgwick acquisition

Carlyle Group has bought claims firm Sedgwick for $6.7m, the company announced, confirming earlier reports.

The company, which also owns UK claims firm Innovation Group, will replace KKR as the majority shareholder in Segdwick.

The deal is expected to close in the latter half of the year.
