Insured losses from China quakes very low
Two magnitude 5.6 earthquakes that struck southwest China on Friday caused little to no insured losses, according to catastrophe modelling firm Eqecat.
At least 43 fatalities have been reported, as well as significant damage to vulnerable buildings in the localised region. However, insured losses are expected to remain low owing to the area's rural
