Awac Europe president resigns

Allied World Europe president John Redmond has resigned from his post with the US firm, Post can reveal.

Mr Redmond joined the company in 2002 after spending 23 years at Chubb, most recently as a senior vice president.

Confirming the departure, a spokesperson for Awac told Post: "We can confirm John Redmond, President of Allied World Europe, has resigned. Frank D'Orazio, president of Allied World's Bermuda and international insurance operations will serve as the regional representative at this time."

The company offered no reasons for Mr Redmond's departure.

The European arm of Awac focuses on providing insurance and reinsurance to large companies from within the continent.
