Admiral UK profit rises to £276m
Admiral has reported group profit before tax increased 23% at £266m (2009: £216m) while turnover (defined as total premiums written including co-insurers’ share and other revenue) rose 47% to £1.58bn (2009: £1.08bn).
The group’s customer count rose 32% to 2.75 million (2009: 2.08 million) . Non-UK car insurance turnover up 64% to £78m with customers up 61% to 195 000.
It reported a record return on capital of 59%
